Tri Tempo Shines at Bates Green Relay During the Eclipse!
Tuesday 12th August 2026 proved to be a memorable evening for Tri Tempo, as an incredible seven teams of four runners turned out for the annual Bates Green Relay, hosted by our friends at Hailsham Harriers.
With a fantastic Tri Tempo presence throughout the field, club colours were everywhere as runners tackled the trail relay course on a truly unique evening that coincided with a spectacular eclipse overhead. The atmosphere was brilliant, with plenty of support, encouragement, and friendly competition throughout the event.
Mixed Team Takes the Top Spot!
The standout performance of the night came from our Mixed Team, who stormed to 1st place in their category.

The above combined their impressive individual performances to claim the top podium position and bring home the honours for Tri Tempo.

Lonra – 8th Fastest Female
Jamie Phillips – 8th Fastest Male
Eloise Key – 10th Fastest Female
These results are a testament to the hard work and consistency being shown across the club, with strong performances appearing throughout the age groups and categories.
A Fantastic Club Effort
While the podium finishes and individual accolades are always welcome, perhaps the biggest success of the evening was the phenomenal turnout from Tri Tempo. Fielding seven relay teams demonstrated the strength, camaraderie, and enthusiasm that continues to make our club such a fantastic community to be part of.
A huge thank you to Hailsham Harriers for once again putting on a well-organised and enjoyable event, and congratulations to everyone who took part.
Whether you were chasing a podium place, a personal best, or simply enjoying the atmosphere and the rare spectacle of running beneath an eclipse, it was an evening to remember.
