Tri Tempo & Eastbourne Sea Swimmers Relay Success on the Seafront
What a fantastic morning on Eastbourne seafront as Tri Tempo joined forces with our friends from Eastbourne Sea Swimmers for a fun and friendly sea swimming relay event.
The format saw swimmers of all abilities split into mixed teams, combining members from both clubs. Each participant completed an out-and-back sea swim before handing over to their next teammate, creating a brilliant atmosphere of teamwork, encouragement, and a little healthy competition.
Conditions couldn't have been much better. With the tide low, very little current, and the sun shining, swimmers were treated to a calm and enjoyable morning in the water. The seafront was buzzing as supporters and teammates cheered every swimmer, from first time sea swims, to seasoned vets.
After some impressive performances from all teams, it was the Yellow Team who took the top spot on the day. Congratulations to Gilly, Nathan, Lisa, and Andrew, who combined strong swims and seamless transitions to secure the victory.
A special mention must also go to Karl and Lukas, whose incredible sprint finish to the line had everyone on the beach cheering. Their determination and speed provided one of the standout moments of the morning and perfectly captured the spirit of the event.
Events like these are a great reminder of what makes our local endurance community so special. Bringing together athletes from different clubs, backgrounds, and abilities creates opportunities to challenge ourselves, make new friends, and enjoy the fantastic coastline we are lucky to have on our doorstep.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part, supported from the beach, and helped make the event such a success. We look forward to teaming up with Eastbourne Sea Swimmers again soon for more fun in the water.
Well done to all involved and enjoy some of the photos of the event below!
